How much work is involved as the partner and sponsor to apply for a partner visa and sponsorship?
It's a lot, but don't worry — we're here to help!
The criteria for a partner visa is quite subjective, this provides flexibility in how to demonstrate a genuine and ongoing relationship but it also creates a requirement to submit a large volume of evidence.
We require you as the applicant to provide us with accurate and genuine evidence. You can expect to spend a large amount of time doing the following locating a whole range of documents and uploading them to our portal.
Our role is to ensure you have identified, located, and presented all the relevant information to demonstrate you satisfy the criteria of the relevant visa and sponsorship applications. We ensure the evidence provided flows logically and clearly articulates your relationship but more importantly, how your relationship satisfies the criteria for the grant of a Partner Visa. -
What makes a visa application complex?
This is a difficult question to answer because each application is different based on the individual circumstances.
The goals and wishes of the applicant and sponsor can also make the process
There may be greater complexities involved with partner visas when:- There is limited evidence available to demonstrate that the relationship is genuine and continuing
- The sponsor or applicant has a criminal record
- The sponsor has previously been a sponsor or been sponsored themselves
- There are children (minors) who intend to migrate with the applicant (other parent is a former spouse/partner)
- There are children (18+) who intend to migrate with the applicant
- An applicant has been refused a visa in the past
- An applicant does not currently hold a substantive visa at the time of application
- There are health issues for any applicants
-
Can I lodge a visa application myself?
We are not in the business to convince you to use our services - each person must make up their own mind and be clear on the risks involved with self-representation. If you do not need to engage a registered migration agent to assist you with your application, we wish you all the best for your migration journey!

Can I find advice on the internet?
Sure, but it is not recommended!
The (often well intended) advice provided by people on the internet and Facebook pages is usually based on their own personal experience and circumstances.
However, everyone’s circumstances are different so their migration journey may be different, and the steps taken along that journey may also be different. -
What is the difference between using an immigration advisor in my home country compared to an Australian Registered Migration Agent?
To provide immigration assistance in Australia, you generally need to be a registered migration agent or a legal practitioner.
There are also exemptions for close family members and other specific individuals.
Outside of this, it is illegal for people to provide immigration assistance unless they are a registered migration agent or a legal practitioner.
Registered Migration Agents are heavily regulated by the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority, in accordance with the Migration Agents Code of Conduct and the Migration Agents Regulations. Offshore agents and advisors are not regulated.
